With a very own sound the album reach the success with the mega hit "Light My Fire". Although "Light My Fire" was the biggest hit, the album has other great moments like the opening track, "Break On Through (To The Other Side)", an energy explosion due the vocals of Jim Morrison and the strong lyrics. Far more better then the original are "Alabama Song" and "BackDoor Man", two other classics of The Doors. At last, we have the epic "The End" that was later used by Francis Ford Capola (a former schoolmate of Morrison in UCLA). The track deals with Death, Sex and Violence in a fantastic way. It is also the materialization of the concept "Theatre Rock" often searched by Jim in his lyrics. For eleven minutes, we travel by the occult of the human mind... and the orgasm is when Jim shoots: "Father? I Want To Kill You; Mother? I Want To Fuck You!". The ultimate Rock experience, in my view. A "must have" album for all Rock fans... a historical album. Rate - 20/20
